I have been involved the design and implementation of numerical software for solving partial differential equations using the finite element method. My main interests are in solving coupled PDE's that arise from modeling manufacturing process. In the past I have developed computer simulations of Glass Pressing and TIG welding.
Since these problems generate large matrices, I have been interested in developing fast solvers using distributed memory parallel computers.
My other interests include finding, using, developing tools to make developing numerical software easier.
